Identification
Lenders typically ask for a minimum of two forms of identification from the following options, with at least one being a photo ID.
- Driver’s licence (back and front)
- Passport
- Permanent Resident/Other Visa Document (VEVO Copy check)
- Medicare
- Birth certificate
- Citizenship certificate
- Utility bills
- Overseas driver’s licence
- A copy of the marriage certificate (if the last name on the passport, driver’s license, and existing property title do not match)
All documents should be submitted in PDF format (properly scanned). However, in some instances, a picture of the ID as an image is acceptable, provided it is taken with a white background.
Income Verification
To verify your income, you will also have to provide lenders with the following documents while completing the application form.
- Two most recent and consecutive payslips (if employed)
- Most Recent Tax Return and Notice of Assessment (If self-employed)
- Three months of bank statements showing salary deposits and monthly living expenses.
Additional Income
- Rental Agreement for all Investment Properties (if managed through agency)
- Last three months of rental income bank statement
- Child Support payment confirmation
- Centrelink letter outlining the benefits less than 30 days old
To support the application additional Financial Information is also required
You would also have to submit information regarding your assets and liabilities for which you need to keep the following documentation ready.
- Credit card and loan statements from your current loan accounts
- Income statements from any of your income-producing assets (if applicable)
- An estimation of your current monthly living expenses and rental expense (if applicable)
- A current mortgage statement (if applicable)
Lenders will verify your employment too when you apply, and for that, you will have to provide the lender with details of your employer, like the employer’s name, address, contact information and also the duration you worked with them. If necessary, we will get in touch with your employer to verify the employment-related information provided by you.
